Executive Summary & Key Takeaways

**Summary:** Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/965, enacted on June 22, 2015, addresses the tariff quota for poultrymeat originating in the United States of America, as initially established by Regulation (EC) No 536/2007. This regulation determines the quantities to be added to the quota for the subperiod of October 1 to December 31, 2015. Specifically, the regulation responds to a shortfall in import license applications received between June 1 and June 7, 2015, for the subperiod of July 1 to September 30, 2015. The quantities for which applications were not submitted are now being reallocated to the subsequent subperiod. Article 1 specifies that the exact quantities to be added to the October-December subperiod are detailed in the Annex. According to the annex, 5,336,250 kg from Order No. 09.4169 will be added to the quantities available for the subperiod from October 1 to December 31 2015. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The regulation was adopted by the European Commission, represented by Jerzy Plewa, Director-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, acting on behalf of the President. The legal basis for this regulation is the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
