Executive Summary & Key Takeaways

**Policy Summary:** Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1921, published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 391/41 on November 5, 2021, addresses a specific error within the Croatian language version of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/464. Regulation 2020/464 lays down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 concerning organic production and labeling, specifically regarding documentation for retroactive recognition of conversion periods, organic product production, and information provision by Member States. The Croatian language version of Regulation 2020/464 contains errors in the title pertaining to retroactive recognition of conversion periods and within Articles 2(6)1 to 7, incorrectly referencing the date of entry into force instead of the date of application. Regulation 2021/1921 serves to correct these identified errors in the Croatian language version only; other language versions are unaffected. The regulation was adopted by the European Commission on November 4, 2021, and entered into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
