THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 October 2003establishing a
system for greenhouse gas emission allowance trading within the Union and amending Council Directive 96/61/EC(1), and
in particular Article 14(1) thereof,
Whereas:
(1) The Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Latvian, Portuguese, Slovenian and
Swedish language versions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066(2)contain in Article 38(6) an
error that alters the meaning of the provision or wording that can lead to misinterpretation, as regards the indicated
period of time and to what it refers.
(2) The Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Latvian, Portuguese, Slovenian and
Swedish language versions of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2066 should therefore be corrected accordingly.
The other language versions are not affected.
(3) The measures provided for in this Implementing Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Climate
Change Committee delivered on 9 February 2022,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the
European Union.
This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
