This Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2535, dated 10 November 2023, approves Union amendments to the product specification for the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) "Dealu Mare," forwarded by Romania. No objections were received under Article 98 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
Article 1 of the regulation approves the amendments to the product specification for "Dealu Mare" PDO as published in the Official Journal. Article 2 stipulates that the regulation will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The regulation is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. It was adopted in Brussels on 10 November 2023 and signed by Janusz Wojciechowski, Member of the Commission, on behalf of the President. The official journal reference is OJ L, 17.11.2023.

approving Union amendments to the specification for a Protected Designation of Origin (‘Dealu
Mare’ (PDO))
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33 of 17 October 2018 supplementing Regulation (EU)
No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards applications for protection of designations of
origin, geographical indications and traditional terms in the wine sector, the objection procedure, restrictions of use,
amendments to product specifications, cancellation of protection, and labelling and presentation(1), and in particular
Article 15(2) thereof,
Whereas:
(1) The Commission has examined the application for the approval of Union amendments to the product specification
for the Protected Designation of Origin ‘Dealu Mare’, forwarded by Romania in accordance with Article 105 of
Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council(2)in conjunction with Article 15 of
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33.
(2) The Commission has published the application for the approval of the Union amendments to the product
specification in the Official Journal of the European Union(3), as required by Article 97(3) of Regulation (EU)
No 1308/2013.
(3) No statement of objection has been received by the Commission under Article 98 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
(4) The Union amendments to the product specification should therefore be approved in accordance with Article 99 of
Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 in conjunction with Article 15(2) of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/33,
HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
Article 1
The amendments to the product specification published in the Official Journal of the European Union regarding the name
‘Dealu Mare’ (PDO) are hereby approved.
Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the
European Union.
