Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2025/2195 30.10.2025 COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION(EU) 2025/2195 of 29 October 2025 cancelling the registration of the protected designation of origin ‘Aceite de la Comunitat Valenciana’ (PDO) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 November 2012 on quality schemes for agricultural products and foodstuffs(1)and in particular Article 54(1) thereof, Whereas: (1) Pursuant to Article 50(2), point (a), of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 in conjunction with Article 7(1) of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 664/2014(2), Spain’s request to cancel the registration of the protected designation of origin (PDO) ‘Aceite de la Comunitat Valenciana’, which was submitted to it by the ASOCIACION PARA LA PROMOCIÓN DE LA D.O.P. ACEITE DE LA COMUNITAT VALENCIANA, and which the Commission had received before the date of application of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143 of the European Parliament and of the Council(3), was published in the Official Journal of the European Union(4). (2) No statement of opposition under Article 17 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1143, which is applicable to the request for cancellation in accordance with Article 90(2) of that Regulation, has been received by the Commission. (3) The name ‘Aceite de la Comunitat Valenciana’ should therefore be cancelled from the Union register of geographical indications. (4) The measure provided for in this Regulation is in accordance with the opinion of the Quality Policy Committee for agricultural products, wine and spirit drinks, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION: Article 1 The registration of the name ‘Aceite de la Comunitat Valenciana’ (PDO) is hereby cancelled.
