amending Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 on an assistance measure taking the form of a general
programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace Facility for the period
2022-2024
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Articles 28(1) and 41(2) thereof,
Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,
Whereas:
(1) On 18 January 2023, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) approved a recommendation by the High
Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (the ‘High Representative’) for an action in
support of the Multi-National Joint Task Force against Boko Haram (MNJTF) to be financed under the assistance
measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union under the European Peace
Facility for the period 2022-2024 established by Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/667(1)(the ‘assistance measure’).
(2) On 7 March 2023, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/510(2), which amended Decision (CFSP) 2022/667
by adding the Swiss non-governmental organisation COGINTA on the list of entities that can fully or partially
implement actions under the assistance measure.
(3) On 18 October 2023, the PSC approved a recommendation by the High Representative to replace the Swiss non-
governmental organisation COGINTA by French operator Défense Conseil International (DCI Group) as
implementing actor for part of the action in support of the MNJTF.
(4) The list of entities that may fully or partially implement actions under the assistance measure should include DCI
Group.
(5) Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The Annex to Decision (CFSP) 2022/667 is replaced by the following:
