COUNCIL DECISION (CFSP) 2026/1201
of 4 June 2026
amending Decision (CFSP) 2022/1093 on an assistance measure under the European Peace Facility to
support the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 28(1) and Article 41(2) thereof,
Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,
Whereas:
(1) On 30 June 2022, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/1093(1) which established an assistance measure
under the European Peace Facility to support the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova.
(2) The delivery of certain equipment to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Moldova has been delayed and will not be
completed until after the end of the implementation period of Decision (CFSP) 2022/1093. That period should
therefore be extended by a further 12 months to 12 December 2027.
(3) Decision (CFSP) 2022/1093 should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
In Article 1 of Decision (CFSP) 2022/1093, paragraph 4 is replaced by the following:
‘4. The duration of the assistance measure shall be 60 months from the date of conclusion of the first contract between
the administrator for assistance measures, acting as authorising officer, and the entities referred to in Article 4(2) of this
Decision in accordance with Article 32(2), point (a), of Decision (CFSP) 2021/509.’.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
