appointing two members of the Court of Auditors
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 286(2) thereof,
Having regard to the proposals by the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of Finland,
Having regard to the opinions of the European Parliament(1),
Whereas:
(1) The term of office of Mr Hannu TAKKULA is due to expire on 29 February 2024. The Republic of Finland has
proposed that Mr Petri SARVAMAA be appointed as a member of the Court of Auditors from 1 June 2024 to
31 May 2030.
(2) The term of office of Ms Annemie TURTELBOOM is due to expire on 30 April 2024. The Kingdom of Belgium has
proposed that she be reappointed from 1 May 2024to 30 April 2030.
(3) Mr Petri SARVAMAA and Ms Annemie TURTELBOOM should therefore be appointed to the Court of Auditors,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following are hereby appointed as members of the Court of Auditors:
— Mr Petri SARVAMAA, for the period from 1 June 2024to 31 May 2030,
— Ms Annemie TURTELBOOM, for the period from 1 May 2024to 30 April 2030.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
