Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2025/607 31.3.2025 COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2025/607 of 27 March 2025 on the appointment of the Vice-Chair and two full-time members of the Single Resolution Board THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EU) No 806/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2014 establishing uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firms in the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Resolution Fund and amending Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010(1), and in particular Article 56(6) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the European Commission, Having regard to the approval by the European Parliament, Whereas: (1) On 15 January 2025, after hearing the Single Resolution Board (the ‘Board’) in its plenary session, the Commission adopted shortlists of candidates for the appointment of the Vice-Chair and of two full-time members of the Board and provided them to the European Parliament. The Council was informed of the shortlists on the same day. (2) Pursuant to Article 56(5) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014, the term of office of the Vice-Chair and of full-time members of the Board is to be 5 years. (3) On 19 February 2025, the Commission adopted a proposal for the appointment of Mr Miguel CARCAÑO SAENZ CENZANO as the Vice-Chair of the Board and of Ms Slavka ELEY and Mr Radek URBAN as full-time members of the Board (the ‘proposal’), and submitted the proposal to the European Parliament for approval. (4) On 11 March 2025, the European Parliament approved the proposal, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 1. Mr Miguel CARCAÑO SAENZ CENZANO is hereby appointed as Vice-Chair of the Single Resolution Board for a term of office of five years as from 1 April 2025. 2. The following persons are hereby appointed as full-time members of the Single Resolution Board for a term of office of five years as from 1 April 2025: — Ms Slavka ELEY, — Mr Radek URBAN.
