25.6.2021 E N O f f i c i a l J o u r n a l o f t h e E u r o p e a n Union L 226/1 II (Non-legislative acts) DECISIONS DECISION (EU) 2021/1032 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT of 27 April 2021 extending, by an additional period, the term of office of the Committee of Inquiry to investigate alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, — having regard to the proposal by the Conference of Presidents, — having regard to Article 226 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, — having regard to Decision 95/167/EC, Euratom, ECSC of the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission of 19 April 1995on the detailed provisions governing the exercise of the European Parliament’s right of inquiry(1), — having regard to its Decision (EU) 2020/1089 of 19 June 2020 on setting up a committee of inquiry to investigate alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union, and defining its responsibilities, numerical strength and term of office(2), — having regard to its Decision (EU) 2021/429 of 20 January 2021 extending the term of office of the Committee of Inquiry to investigate alleged contraventions and maladministration in the application of Union law in relation to the protection of animals during transport within and outside the Union(3), — having regard to Rule 208(11) of its Rules of Procedure, A. whereas the Committee of Inquiry requested a second extension of its term of office in order to be allowed to fully and correctly fulfil its mandate; 1.
