Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2025/665 2.4.2025 DECISION (EU) 2025/665 OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES of 26 March 2025 appointing Judges to the General Court THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 19 thereof, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Articles 254 and 255 thereof, Whereas: (1) The terms of office of 26 Judges of the General Court are due to expire on 31 August 2025. Appointments to those posts should therefore be made for the period from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2031. (2) In this context, Mr Hervé CASSAGNABÈRE, Mr Saulius Lukas KALĖDA, Mr Ulf ÖBERG, Ms Tamara PERIŠIN, Mr David PETRLÍK, Ms Inga REINE, Ms Petra ŠKVAŘILOVÁ-PELZL, Mr Laurent TRUCHOT and Mr Pēteris ZILGALVIS have been nominated for renewal of their term of office as a Judge of the General Court. (3) In addition, Mr Francesco BESTAGNO and Ms Tanja PAVELIN have each been nominated for a first term of office as a Judge of the General Court. (4) Moreover, in accordance with Article 7 of Protocol No 3 on the Statute of the Court of Justice of the European Union, and following the appointment to the Court of Justice of Mr Rimvydas NORKUS as Advocate-General, a judge should be appointed to the General Court for the remainder of the term of office of Mr Rimvydas NORKUS, which runs until 31 August 2025. Ms Danutė JOČIENĖ has been nominated for the vacant post. (5) Finally, in accordance with Article 7 of Protocol No 3 on the Statute of the Court of Justice of the European Union, and following the appointment of Mr Fredrik SCHALIN to the Court of Justice as Judge, a judge should be appointed to the General Court for the remainder of the term of office of Mr Fredrik SCHALIN, which runs until 31 August 2025. Mr Jörgen HETTNE has been nominated for the vacant post.
