β having regard to Commission Implementing Decision 2013/776/EU of 18 December 2013 establishing the
Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency and repealing Decision 2009/336/EC (10),
β having regard to Rule 93 of and Annex IV to its Rules of Procedure,
β having regard to the report of the Committee on Budgetary Control and the opinions of the other committees
concerned (A8-0110/2019),
A. whereas, under Article 17(1) of the Treaty on European Union, the Commission is to execute the budget and
manage programmes and, pursuant to Article 317 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, is to
implement the budget in cooperation with the Member States, on its own responsibility, having regard to the
principles of sound financial management;
1. Grants the Director of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency discharge in respect of the
implementation of the Agency's budget for the financial year 2017;
2. Sets out its observations in the resolution forming an integral part of the decisions on discharge in respect of the
implementation of the general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2017, Section III β Commission
and executive agencies, and in its resolution of 26 March 2019 on the Court of Auditors' special reports in the
context of the Commission discharge for the financial year 2017 (11);
3. Instructs its President to forward this decision, the decision on discharge in respect of the implementation of the
general budget of the European Union for the financial year 2017, Section III β Commission and the resolution
forming an integral part of those decisions, to the Director of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive
Agency, the Council, the Commission and the Court of Auditors, and to arrange for their publication in the Official
Journal of the European Union (L series).
