THE SPECIALISED COMMITTEE ON FISHERIES,
Having regard to the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy
Community, of the one part, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the other part (‘the
Agreement’), and in particular Article 8(4)(f) thereof,
Whereas:
(1) The Agreement entered into force on 1 May 2021.
(2) Heading Five of Part Two (Articles 493 to 511) of the Agreement provides for cooperation between the Union and
the United Kingdom on fisheries, notably in Articles 494(1) and 508.
(3) Article 8(1)(q) of the Agreement establishes a Specialised Committee on Fisheries, which addresses matters covered
by Heading Five of Part Two of the Agreement.
(4) Article 508 of the Agreement sets out, in a non-exhaustive manner, the functions and powers of the Specialised
Committee on Fisheries.
(5) Pursuant to Article 9(3) of the Agreement, a Working Group is to comprise representatives of the Union and of the
United Kingdom and is to be co-chaired by a representative of the Union and a representative of the United
Kingdom.
(6) Pursuant to Article 9(4) of the Agreement, a Working Group is to set its own rules of procedure, meeting schedule
and agenda by mutual consent.
(7) In order to ensure the effective implementation of the Agreement, in particular of Heading Five of Part 2, it is
necessary that expert dialogues on fisheries take place at regular intervals throughout the year, including at short
notice.
(8) It is appropriate that the Specialised Committee on Fisheries establish a Working Group on Fisheries (‘the Working
Group’), under its supervision. This Working Group should set its rules of procedure. It should report on a regular

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
1. The Working Group on Fisheries is hereby established.
Article 2
1. The Working Group shall meet when so decided by the co-chairs, by mutual consent.
2. It shall report on a regular basis to the Specialised Committee on Fisheries on the results and conclusions of its
meetings.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its adoption.
