**Policy Summary:** On December 22, 2020, the ACPEU Committee of Ambassadors issued Decision No. 4/2020, formally granting a discharge to the Director of the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) regarding the implementation of the Centre's budget for the financial year 2019. This decision follows a review of the CTA's financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2019, and the corresponding auditor's report. The Board of the Centre had previously approved the financial statements based on their examination of the audit report. The CTA's revenue for 2019 primarily consisted of contributions from the European Development Fund, which totaled EUR 19,622,000 out of a total revenue of EUR 21,760,000. The Committee concluded that the Director's overall implementation of the Centre's budget during the financial year 2019 merited a discharge. The decision was made in Brussels and signed by the Chairman of the ACPEU Committee of Ambassadors, Michael Clauss. The decision is based on Article 26 of Annex III of the Partnership Agreement between the members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States and the European Community and its Member States, as well as several previous decisions concerning the CTA's operations and financial regulations.
