Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 105/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1237]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1237 25.6.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 105/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1237] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/927 of 20 May 2025 supplementing Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards measures adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization for the monitoring, reporting and verification of aviation emissions for the purpose of implementing a global market-based measure and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1603(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/927 repeals Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1603(2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (3) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The text of point 21apm (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1603) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement is replaced by the following: ‘32025 R 0927: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/927 of 20 May 2025 supplementing Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards measures adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization for the monitoring, reporting and verification of aviation emissions for the purpose of implementing a global market-based measure and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1603 (OJ L, 2025/927, 31.7.2025).’ Article 2 The text of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/927 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 21 March 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).
