Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/118 18.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 124/2021 of 19 March 2021 amending Annex XIX (Consumer protection) to the EEA Agreement [2024/118] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/2212 of 20 December 2019on a pilot project to implement certain administrative cooperation provisions set out in Regulation (EU) 2017/2394 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cooperation between authorities responsible for the enforcement of consumer protection laws by means of the Internal Market Information System(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/2213 of 20 December 2019 laying down the practical and operational arrangements for the functioning of the electronic database established pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/2394 of the European Parliament and of the Council as respects certain communications under that Regulation(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (3) Annex XIX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 The following points are inserted after point 7fa (Commission Decision 2007/76/EC) of Annex XIX to the EEA Agreement: ‘7fb. 32019 D 2212: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/2212 of 20 December 2019 on a pilot project to implement certain administrative cooperation provisions set out in Regulation (EU) 2017/2394 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cooperation between authorities responsible for the enforcement of consumer protection laws by means of the Internal Market Information System (OJ L 332, 23.12.2019, p. 159). 7fc. 32019 D 2213: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/2213 of 20 December 2019 laying down the practical and operational arrangements for the functioning of the electronic database established pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/2394 of the European Parliament and of the Council as respects certain communications under that Regulation (OJ L 332, 23.12.2019, p. 163).’ Article 2 The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2019/2212 and (EU) 2019/2213 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 20 March 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*, or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 172/2019 of 14 June 2019(3), whichever is the later.
