Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 132/2025 of 13 June 2025 amending Annex VII (Recognition of professional qualifications) to the EEA Agreement [2025/1826]
Decision No 132/2025 of the EEA Joint Committee, dated 13 June 2025, amends Annex VII of the EEA Agreement regarding the recognition of professional qualifications. This decision incorporates Directive (EU) 2024/505, concerning the recognition of professional qualifications for nurses responsible for general care trained in Romania, into the EEA Agreement. The directive amends Directive 2005/36/EC. The text of Directive (EU) 2024/505 in Icelandic and Norwegian will be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union and shall be authentic. The decision enters into force on 14 June 2025, provided that all notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made. It will be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. The President of the EEA Joint Committee is Nicolas VON LINGEN.

amending Annex VII (Recognition of professional qualifications) to the EEA Agreement[2025/1826]
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Directive (EU) 2024/505 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 amending
Directive 2005/36/EC as regards the recognition of professional qualifications of nurses responsible for general care
trained in Romania(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Annex VII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
The following indent is added in point 1 (Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of
Annex VII to the EEA Agreement:
‘— 32024 L 0505: Directive (EU) 2024/505 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 (OJ L,
2024/505, 12.2.2024).’
Article 2
The text of Directive (EU) 2024/505 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to
the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 14 June 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA
Agreement have been made(*).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European
Union.
