Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 161/2026 of 5 June 2026 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1984]

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/108 of 16 January 2026 concerning the authorisation of ponceau 4R as a feed additive for its use in baits for freshwater food-producing finfish(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/119 of 20 January 2026 concerning the denial of authorisation of a preparation of carvacrol as a feed additive belonging to the category of zootechnical additives for weaned piglets(2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/180 of 19 January 2026 amending Implementing Regulations

(EU) 2021/1426, (EU) 2024/221, (EU) 2023/1333, (EU) 2024/1058, (EU) 2023/1342, (EU) 2024/778,

(EU) 2024/2177, (EU) 2019/805, (EU) 2020/163, (EU) 2021/1431 and (EU) 2025/161 as regards the name of the holder of the authorisation for feed additives(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein.

(5) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter II of Annex I to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows:

1. The following is added in points 300 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/805), 341 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/163), 424 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1431), 426 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1426), 505 (Commission Implementing Regulation

(EU) 2023/1333), 519 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1342), 548 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/221), 563 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/778), 576 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1058), 605 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2177) and 632 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/161):

‘, as amended by: — 32026 R 0180: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/180 of 19 January 2026 (OJ L, 2026/180,

2. The following points are inserted after point 718 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/171): ‘719. 32026 R 0108: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/108 of 16 January 2026 concerning the authorisation of ponceau 4R as a feed additive for its use in baits for freshwater food-producing finfish (OJ L, 2026/108, 19.1.2026).

720. 32026 R 0119: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/119 of 20 January 2026 concerning the denial of authorisation of a preparation of carvacrol as a feed additive belonging to the category of zootechnical additives for weaned piglets (OJ L, 2026/119, 21.1.2026).’ Article 2 The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2026/108, (EU) 2026/119 and (EU) 2026/180 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 6 June 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
