Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 162/2026 of 5 June 2026 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1985]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1985 24.9.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 162/2026 of 5 June 2026 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1985] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/348 of 17 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lacticaseibacillus huelsenbergensis DSM 115424 as a feed additive for all animal species(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/352 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of L-arginine produced with Escherichia coli CCTCC M 20231961 as a feed additive for all animal species(2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/353 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of L-histidine and L-histidine monohydrochloride monohydrate, produced with Corynebacterium glutamicum KCCM 80389, as feed additives for all animal species(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/356 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase produced with Bacillus subtilis LMG S-15136 as a feed additive for gestating sows (holder of authorisation: Puratos NV)(4)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(5) This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein.

(6) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The following points are inserted after point 720 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/119) of Chapter II of

Annex I to the EEA Agreement: ‘721. 32026 R 0348: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/348 of 17 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of Lacticaseibacillus huelsenbergensis DSM 115424 as a feed additive for all animal species (OJ L, 2026/348, 18.2.2026).

722. 32026 R 0352: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/352 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of L-arginine produced with Escherichia coli CCTCC M 20231961 as a feed additive for all animal species (OJ L, 2026/352, 19.2.2026).

723. 32026 R 0353: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/353 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of L-histidine and L-histidine monohydrochloride monohydrate, produced with Corynebacterium glutamicumKCCM 80389, as feed additives for all animal species (OJ L, 2026/353, 19.2.2026).

724. 32026 R 0356: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/356 of 18 February 2026 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase produced with Bacillus subtilis LMG S-15136 as a feed additive for gestating sows (holder of authorisation: Puratos NV) (OJ L, 2026/356, 19.2.2026).’ Article 2 The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2026/348, (EU) 2026/352, (EU) 2026/353 and (EU) 2026/356 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 6 June 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
