Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 163/2026 of 5 June 2026 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1986]

Whereas:

(1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2026/361 of 19 February 2026 amending Regulation (EU) No 582/2011 as regards the emissions type-approval of heavy-duty vehicles with on-board fuel and energy consumption monitoring devices(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The following indent is added in point 45zzl (Commission Regulation (EU) No 582/2011) of Chapter I of Annex II to the

EEA Agreement: ‘— 32026 R 0361: Commission Regulation (EU) 2026/361 of 19 February 2026 (OJ L, 2026/361, 20.2.2026).’ Article 2 The text of Regulation (EU) 2026/361 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 6 June 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
