Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/2000 24.9.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 180/2026 of 5 June 2026 amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2026/2000] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Decision 2025/2607 of 17 December 2025 establishing the EU Ecolabel criteria for decorative paints, varnishes, and related products, performance coatings and related products, and water-based aerosol spray paints and repealing Decision 2014/312/EU(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Commission Decision (EU) 2026/66 of 23 December 2025 amending Decisions 2014/350/EU, 2014/391/EU,
(EU) 2016/1332, (EU) 2016/1349 and (EU) 2017/176 as regards the period of validity of the EU Ecolabel criteria and the related assessment and verification requirements for textile products, bed mattresses, furniture, footwear and wood-, cork- and bamboo-based floor coverings(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(3) Decision 2025/2607 repeals Commission Decision 2014/312/EU(3), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.
(4) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annex XX to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows:
1. The following indent is added in points 2g (Commission Decision (EU) 2016/1349), 2w (Commission Decision 2014/391/EU), 2zb (Commission Decision (EU) 2017/176), 2zd (Commission Decision (EU) 2016/1332) and 2zn (Commission Decision 2014/350/EU):
‘— 32026 D 0066: Commission Decision (EU) 2026/66 of 23 December 2025 (OJ L, 2026/66, 6.1.2026).’
2. The following point is inserted after point 2zs (Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1803): ‘2zt. 32025 D 2607: Commission Decision 2025/2607 of 17 December 2025 establishing the EU Ecolabel criteria for decorative paints, varnishes, and related products, performance coatings and related products, and water-based aerosol spray paints and repealing Decision 2014/312/EU (OJ L, 2025/2607, 22.12.2025).’
3. The text of point 2v (Commission Decision 2014/312/EU) is deleted.
Article 2 The texts of Decisions 2025/2607 and (EU) 2026/66 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
