Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 182/2024 of 2 September 2024 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/3079]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/3079 19.12.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 182/2024 of 2 September 2024 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/3079] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1975 of 19 July 2024 laying down rules for the application of Directive 2014/90/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards design, construction and performance requirements and testing standards for marine equipment and repealing Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1667(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1975 repeals Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1667(2), which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The text of point 3 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1667) of Chapter XXXII of Annex II to the EEA

Agreement is replaced by the following: ‘32024 R 1975: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1975 of 19 July 2024 laying down rules for the application of Directive 2014/90/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, as regards design, construction and performance requirements and testing standards for marine equipment and repealing Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1667 (OJ L, 2024/1975, 26.7.2024).’ Article 2 The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1975 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
