Decision of the EEA joint Committee No 241/2021 of 24 September 2021 amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/504]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/504 22.2.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 241/2021 of 24 September 2021 amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2024/504] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1272 of 30 July 2021establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by the Vatican City State to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1273 of 30 July 2021establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by San Marino to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council(2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annexes V and VIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The following points are inserted after point 10b (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126) of Annex V to the

EEA Agreement: ‘10c. 32021 D 1272: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1272 of 30 July 2021establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by the Vatican City State to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 277, 2.8.2021, p. 148).

10d. 32021 D 1273: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1273 of 30 July 2021establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by San Marino to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 277, 2.8.2021, p. 151).’ Article 2 The following points are inserted after point 11b (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1126) of Annex VIII to

the EEA Agreement: ‘11c. 32021 D 1272: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1272 of 30 July 2021establishing the equivalence, for the purpose of facilitating the right of free movement within the Union, of COVID-19 certificates issued by the Vatican City State to the certificates issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 277, 2.8.2021, p. 148).

Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 25 September 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*.

Article 5 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
