Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 30/2021 of 5 February 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/6]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2024/6 11.1.2024 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 30/2021 of 5 February 2021 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/6] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1036 of 15 July 2020 on the non-approval of certain active substances in biocidal products pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1037 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of acrolein for use in biocidal products of product-type 12(2)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1038 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of creosote for use in biocidal products of product-type 8(3)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The following points are inserted after point 12zzzzzzl (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1435) of

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement: ‘12zzzzzzm. 32020 D 1036: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1036 of 15 July 2020on the non-approval of certain active substances in biocidal products pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 227, 16.7.2020, p. 68).

12zzzzzzn. 32020 D 1037: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1037 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of acrolein for use in biocidal products of product-type 12 (OJ L 227, 16.7.2020, p. 72).

12zzzzzzo. 32020 D 1038: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1038 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of creosote for use in biocidal products of product-type 8 (OJ L 227, 16.7.2020, p. 74).’ Article 2 The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2020/1036, (EU) 2020/1037 and (EU) 2020/1038 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 6 February 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made*.
