Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 70/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1264]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1264 25.6.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 70/2026 of 20 March 2026 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1264] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Regulation (EU) 2024/568 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 on fees and charges payable to the European Medicines Agency, amending Regulations (EU) 2017/745 and (EU) 2022/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Regulation (EU) No 658/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Regulation (EC) No 297/95(1)is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement. (2) Regulation (EU) 2024/568 repeals Regulation (EU) No 658/2014(2) and Regulation (EC) No 297/95(3), which are incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which are consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement. (3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION: Article 1 Chapter XIII of Annex II to the EEA Agreement is amended as follows: 1. The following is added in point 15ze (Regulation (EU) 2022/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘, as amended by: — 32024 R 0568: Regulation (EU) 2024/568 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 (OJ L, 2024/568, 14.2.2024).’ 2. The following point is inserted after point 24 (Regulation (EU) 2023/1182 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘25. 32024 R 0568: Regulation (EU) 2024/568 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 on fees and charges payable to the European Medicines Agency, amending Regulations (EU) 2017/745 and (EU) 2022/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Regulation (EU) No 658/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Regulation (EC) No 297/95 (OJ L, 2024/568, 14.2.2024).’ 3. The texts of points 15h (Council Regulation (EC) No 297/95) and 16 (Regulation (EU) No 658/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council) are deleted. The following indent is added in point 11 (Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘— 32024 R 0568: Regulation (EU) 2024/568 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 (OJ L, 2024/568, 14.2.2024).’ 2. The following is added in point 16 (Regulation (EU) 2022/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council): ‘, as amended by: — 32024 R 0568: Regulation (EU) 2024/568 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 February 2024 (OJ L, 2024/568, 14.2.2024).’ Article 3 The text of Regulation (EU) 2024/568 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic. Article 4 This Decision shall enter into force on 21 March 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*). Article 5 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union. Done at Brussels, 20 March 2026.
