THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1362 of 1 August 2022 implementing Regulation (EC)
No 595/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the performance of heavy-duty trailers with
regard to their influence on the CO emissions, fuel consumption, energy consumption and zero emission driving

range of motor vehicles and amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/683(1) is to be incorporated into the
EEA Agreement.
(2) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Chapter I of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:
1. The following point is inserted after point 45zzx (Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/543):
‘45zzy. 32022 R 1362: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1362 of 1 August 2022 implementing
Regulation (EC) No 595/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the performance of
heavy-duty trailers with regard to their influence on the CO emissions, fuel consumption, energy

consumption and zero emission driving range of motor vehicles and amending Implementing Regulation
(EU) 2020/683 (OJ L 205, 5.8.2022, p. 145).’
2. The following indent is added in point 51a (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/683):
‘- 32022 R 1362: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1362 of 1 August 2022 (OJ L 205, 5.8.2022,
p. 145).’
Article 2
The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1362 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the
EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA
Agreement have been made*, or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 52/2022 of
18 March 2022(2), whichever is the later.
