amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2025/978]

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98
thereof,
Whereas:

Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974 of 29 November 2024 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for the smitheries and foundries industry(1), as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024, is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 1fzb (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2749) of Annex XX to the
EEA Agreement: ‘1fzc. 32024 D 2974: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974 of 29 November 2024 establishing the best available techniques (BAT) conclusions, under Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on industrial emissions, for the smitheries and foundries industry (OJ L, 2024/2974, 6.12.2024), as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024.’ Article 2 The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2974, as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90826, 20.12.2024, in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.
Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).
Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
