DPAR 14 SCR 2022 Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, dated: 21.02.2022 NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules to amend the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules, 2021 in which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), is hereby published as required by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru – 560001. DRAFT RULES 1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) (General) (1st Amendment) Rules, 2022. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 5.- In the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 5, in the fifth proviso, for the words “Group C and D”, the words “Group-B, C and D” shall be substituted. 3. Amendment of rule 6.- In rule 6 of the said rules, (i) in sub-rule (1), in clause (a), for the figures “200”, the figures “300” shall be substituted.R.N.I. No. KARBIL/2001/47147 POSTAL REGN. Amendment of rule 9.- In rule 9 of the said rules, (i) in the heading, the words and letter “and Group-B” shall be omitted; and . (ii) in sub-rule (1), (a) the word and letter “and B” shall be omitted; and (b) for the figures “50” wherever they occur, the figures “25” shall be substituted. 5. Amendment of rule 11.- In rule 11 of the said rules, in sub-rule (2), (i) the word and letter “and Group-B” shall be omitted; and (ii) for the word and letter “Group-C”, the words and letter “Group-B and Group-C” shall be substituted. 6. Savings:- These rules shall apply for all recruitments for which notifications have been issued but the examination process has not commenced.
