ORDER

Whereas a Property tax is levied under section 144 of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Act, 2020 (Karnataka Act 53 of 2020) (hereinafter referred the Principal Act) as amended by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike

(Amendment) Act, 2024 (Karnataka Act 17 of 2024) within the time limit specified under sub-section (5) of section 144 of the said Act.

And whereas the last date is 31st July 2024 to pay the Property tax as one time measure under the seventh proviso to sub-section (5) of section 144 of the Principal Act. In the meantime, the Government has decided to extend the said time limit further in the public interest.

And whereas the Government has power for removal of difficulties under

section 366 of the Principal Act.

ORDER NO:UDD 18 BBS 2024 (P-2), Bangalore, Dated: 08.08.2024 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 366 of the Principal Act, the Government of Karnataka has decided to extend the time limit from 31st July, 2024 to 30th September 2024 in the Principal Act. Therefore in the seventh proviso to sub-section (5) of section 144, for the words and figures “until 31st July, 2024” the words and figures “until 30th September 2024” shall be substituted.
