Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. DRAFT RULES 1. Title and commencement. (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2024. In the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) Rules, 1967, in the schedule, under the heading Class III, NON-GAZETTED posts, at serial number 37, in the entries relating to the posts of "Secondary School Assistant Master (Grade II) cadre” under the “method of recruitment” for item (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(ii) fifty percent by promotion from the cadres of Primary School Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 1 to 5, Primary School Graduate Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 6 to 8, Craft Teacher Grade I, Music Teacher, Drawing teacher cadres in Government High Schools and Nursery School Teacher cadre in the percentage ratio of 60:30:04:02:02:02: Provided that, if sufficient number of percentage ratio of teachers in the cadres of Craft Teacher Grade I, Nursery School Teachers, Drawing teachers are not available for promotion, then such number of posts shall be filled by promotion from the cadres of Primary School Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 1 to 5 and Primary School Graduate Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 6 to 8, in the said ratio. Provided further that, if sufficient number of percentage ratio of teachers from the cadres of Primary School Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 1 to 5 and Primary School Graduate Assistant Master / Mistress for classes 6 to 8 are not available for promotion, then such number of posts shall be filled by direct recruitment.
