In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section(1) of section 20A of the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, brief particulars of which are given in the Schedule below, is required in village Kakrotiya and Rangmatia, Taluka Sahebganj + Mandro, District Sahebganj of the State of Jharkhand, for execution, maintenance, management and operation of the Special Railway Project namely “Construction of ROB in lieu of LC Gate No. – 82/B/T (KM 231/9-232/0) near West cabin of Sahibganj station of Malda Division”, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land ;

Any person interested in the land may, within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this

notification in the Official Gazette, object to the acquisition and use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section (1) of Section 20D of the said Act;

Every such objection shall be made in writing to the Competent Authority, namely the Circle Officer, Kakrotiya + Rangmatia, Taluka Sahebganj Sadar & Mandro, and the Circle Officer, District Sahebganj, Jharkhand, stating the grounds thereof. The Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard either in person or through a legal practitioner and, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the competent authority thinks necessary, may, by order, either allow or disallow the objections;

Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of Section 20D of the said Act shall be final;4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] The plans and other details of the land covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by interested persons at the office of the aforesaid Competent Authority.
