NOTIFICATION
Jaipur, the 15th November, 2022
S.O. 5502(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of
Railways (Railway Board), No S.O. 4135(A) dated 23rd August 2022 published in Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section-3, Sub Section (ii) dated 02 September (hereinafter referred to as the said
notification), under sub section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and
Railway(Amendment) Act, 2008 (11 of 2008) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Special Railway Project, namely
Degana-Rai ka Bagh Doubling project in District Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan.
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification were published in daily local newspapers
―Rajasthan Patrika‖ and ―Dainik Bhaskar‖ dated 09th September, 2022 under sub-section (4) of section 20A
of the said act;
And, whereas, the competent authority has not received any objections under sub section (2) of the
section 20D of the act.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub section (1) of section 20E of the said act, the competent authority

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
Any person interested in the said land may submit their claims either in person or by an agent or by a legal
practitioner under sub section (4) & (5) of section 20F of the said act, at Sub-Divisional Officer and Competent
Authority (Land Acquisition) Office, Jodhpur North in any working day within a period of 30 (Thirty) days from the
date of publication of this notification in the official gazette.
And, further in pursuance of sub section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
