Kolkata, the 17th March, 2026
S.O. 1396(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (7A) of section 2 of the Railways Act, 1989,
[as amended vide the Railways (Amendment) Act, 2008] the Central Government hereby authorizes the officer
mentioned in column (2) of the Table below as competent authority to perform the functions as such authority under the
said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette with respect to land
acquisition for the Special Railway Project namely, “Asansol Division - 42 Nos Elimination of level crossing in
ER+DFC route from Khana – Pradhankanta” in the State of Jharkhand relating to the districts mentioned in column
(3) of the said Table for the public purpose.
