NOTIFICATION
WHEREAS Shri Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka
has recommended that Hon'ble Shri Justice Bhimanagouda
Sanganagouda Patil, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka and
presently serving as the Karnataka Upalokayukta, be appointed as the
Lokayukta of Karnataka.
WHEREAS this recommendation has been made after consulting
the Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka, the Chairman, Karnataka
Legislative Council, the Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly and
the Leaders of Opposition in both the Houses of the Karnataka State
Legislature.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me under
section 3(1) of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984

(Karnataka Act No.4 of 1985), I, THAAWARCHAND GEHLOT,
Governor of Karnataka, hereby appoint

Upalokayukta, as the Lokayukta of Karnataka State.
