Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare AGRICULTURAL ROAD MAPS BASED ON AGRO-CLIMATIC CONDITIONS प्रव तथ: 04 AUG 2026 6:19PM by PIB Delhi As reported by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Agricultural Action Plans have been initiated for the States of Assam, Goa, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Comprehensive consultations have been undertaken with the concerned State Governments and other stakeholders for preparation of these agricultural Roadmaps. The Agricultural Roadmap are being prepared collaboratively by ICAR, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, ICAR, ICAR Institutes, State Governments, State Agricultural Universities, and experts. The planning is based on agro-climatic regions, natural resource endowments, climate resilience, technological interventions and farmers' needs. The roadmaps aim to ensure technical validation, alignment with State priorities, local agro-climatic conditions, and climate resilience. The Roadmap seek enhancement of productivity, profitability and resource-use efficiency in agriculture and allied sectors.
