No. II(1)/PUSC/1/2021.— Whereas, in the opinion of the Government of Tamil Nadu, it is necessary to declare the premises of Indane Bottling Plant, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli District, as specifi ed in the Schedule below, to be a “Prohibited Place” under sub-clause (d) of clause (8) of Section 2 of the Offi cial Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act XIX of 1923), on the ground that information with respect thereto, or the destruction or obstruction thereof, or interference therewith, would be useful to an enemy; And, Whereas, in pursuance of clause (1) of Article 258 of the Constitution of India, the Government of India, Ministry of Home Aff airs, have, in their Notifi cation No. S.O.1285, dated the 4th May 1963, published in the Gazette of India, dated the 11th May 1963, entrusted to the Government of Tamil Nadu the functions of the Central Government in relation to any matter specifi ed in sub-clauses (c) and (d) of clause (8) of Section 2 of the Offi cial Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act XIX of 1923); Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (d) of clause (8) of Section 2 of the Offi cial Secrets Act, 1923 (Central Act XIX of 1923), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares, with eff ect on and from the date of publication of this Notifi cation in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, the premises of Indane Bottling Plant, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre, Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli District, as specifi ed in the Schedule below, to be a “Prohibited Place” for the purposes of the said Act:- T(cid:3472)(cid:3469) S(cid:3467)(cid:3472)(cid:3469)(cid:3468)(cid:3485)(cid:3476)(cid:3469) Name of the place Area with description Boundary particulars (1) (2) (3) The premises of Indane Name of the Village: North: Survey No.1852/ 1A1 part Bottling Plant, Indian Gangaikondan Oil Corporation Limited, SIPCOT Industrial Growth Name of the Taluk: East: Survey No. 1850,1852/ Centre, Gangaikondan, 1A1 Part, 1852/1 B2 Part Tirunelveli district.
