Posted On: 22 SEP 2026 12:58PM by PIB Mumbai The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, congratulated Dr Anuva Kapoor, final-year MD resident in Community Medicine, on winning three medals at the 22nd National Masters Swimming Championship held at Champion Aquatics Academy, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, from September 11 to 13, 2026. The championship was held under the aegis of the Swimming Federation of India.

Representing Maharashtra, Dr Anuva Kapoor secured Gold in the 400 metres Individual Medley and Bronze in the 100 metres Butterfly. She also won Silver as part of the Women’s 4×50 metres Freestyle Relay team. Her performance has earned her qualification for the 2nd Asian Masters Swimming Championship, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from October 3 to 10, 2026.Prof. Prashant P. Joshi, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Nagpur, commended Dr Kapoor for her dedication to sporting excellence alongside the demanding schedule of postgraduate medical training. He wished her success in the upcoming Asian Masters Swimming Championship.

Dr Anuva Kapoor expressed her gratitude to the Executive Director & CEO for his continued support and encouragement. Her achievement adds to the sense of pride at AIIMS Nagpur and highlights the pursuit of excellence beyond the academic and professional sphere.
