regarding incorporation/change of details of Electronics and
Computer Software Export Promotion Council – regarding.
This Public Notice, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade on February 9, 2021, amends Appendix 2T and Appendix 2D of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-2020. The amendment concerns the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC). Specifically, it updates the details of products falling under the ESC's jurisdiction in Appendix 2T (List of Export Promotion Councils/Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities). The notice also updates the registered office address of the ESC in both Appendix 2T and Appendix 2D (List of Agencies authorized to issue Certificates of Origin for SAPTA and ASIA Pacific Trade Agreements APTA).
The ESC's product jurisdiction now includes electronics hardware, consumer electronics, electronics instruments (including industrial, office, medical, laboratory, and strategic electronic equipment), electronic components, computer hardware, computer software, IT/ITes software services, and BPO/KPO. The effect of this notice is to revise the product details for which the ESC is authorized to issue Registration-cum-Membership Certificates (RCMC) and to update its address details within the FTP 2015-2020. Councils/Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities] of Foreign Trade Policy,
