**Policy Summary: Export Prohibition on De-Oiled Rice Bran**
This notification, dated August 6, 2024, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, amends the export policy regarding De-Oiled Rice Bran. It supersedes Notification No. 76/2023 dated March 15, 2024.
The key change is the prohibition of De-Oiled Rice Bran exports under Chapter 23 of Schedule I Export Policy, specifically impacting the following ITCHS codes: 2302 40 00, 2306 90 19, 2306 90 29 and 2306 90 90. This prohibition is effective immediately and will remain in force until January 31, 2025.
The legal basis for this amendment is derived from Section 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended.
