Amendment in Import Policy Condition for de – notifying STC as
an STE for import of Copra and Coconut Oil under Chapter 12 and
15 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule – I (Import Policy).
**Policy Summary:**
This notification, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, amends the import policy conditions for copra and coconut oil under Chapter 12 and 15 of the ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule 1 (Import Policy).
**Key Changes:**
* **Copra (Exim Code 1203 00 00):** The import of copra is now allowed through MMTC (Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of India) subject to Para 2.20 of the Foreign Trade Policy. The previous policy allowed import through STC (State Trading Corporation).
* **Coconut Oil (Exim Codes 1513 11 00 and 1513 19 00):** The import of crude coconut oil (1513 11 00) and other coconut oil (1513 19 00) is now allowed through State Trading Enterprises (STEs), *except* STC, subject to Para 2.20 of the Foreign Trade Policy.
**Effective Date:** This notification is effective as of December, 2020.
