**Legal Basis:** Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023 (as amended).
**Amendment Details:**
The import policy for duck meat falling under the following ITC (HS) codes has been revised:
* **02074200 (Of ducks, Not cut in pieces, frozen)**: Import of "Premium Duck Meat" as per Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) O.M. No. L11010/93/2016-Trade E-2625 dated February 22, 2024, and Department of Revenue Notification No. 13/2024-Customs dated March 6, 2024, intended for supply to Hotels and Restaurants is **Restricted**. All other imports under this HS code remain **Free**.
* **02074500 (Of ducks, Other, frozen)**: Import of "Premium Duck Meat" as per Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) O.M. No. L11010/93/2016-Trade E-2625 dated February 22, 2024, and Department of Revenue Notification No. 13/2024-Customs dated March 6, 2024, intended for supply to Hotels and Restaurants is **Restricted**. All other imports under this HS code remain **Free**.
**Effect of the Notification:**
The import of "Premium Duck Meat" (as defined by the specified DAHD O.M. and Department of Revenue Notification) for supply to Hotels and Restaurants is now restricted under ITC (HS) codes 02074200 and 02074500. All other duck meat imports under these codes remain free.

S.O.: In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of FT (D&R) Act, 1992, and
read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time,
the Central Government hereby revises the import policy condition of the following items under
ITC(HS) Code 02074200 and 02074500 of Chapter 2 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I(Import Policy),
