**Background:** This notification amends the import policy condition for Glufosinate Technical, pursuant to powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023.
**Amendment Details:**
* The import policy for Glufosinate Technical (HS Code 38089390) is revised from "Free" to "Prohibited."
* **Exception:** Import of Glufosinate Technical is permitted (Free) if the Cost, Insurance, and Freight (CIF) value is Rs. 1289 or above per Kg.
* Glufosinate Technical must have a Purity Minimum 95 % ww CAS No. 51276-47-2
* IUPAC Name: 2amino4hydorxy9methyl Phosphoryl butanoic acid
* The policy condition is subject to review after one year.
**Impact:** This amendment restricts the import of Glufosinate Technical with a CIF value below Rs. 1289 per Kg, while allowing free import for consignments above this value.

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade
(Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade
Policy 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the import
policy condition for the following HS Code covered under Chapter 38 of the ITC (HS), 2022,
Schedule -I (Import Policy), with effect from 25.01 .2024, as under:

This issue with the approval of Minister of Commerce & Industry.
