and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of thirty days from the date on which the copies of this notification, as published in the Official Gazette, are made available to the public;4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] Objections and suggestions to these draft rules, if any, may be sent to the Additional Secretary (Transport), email: comments-morth@gov.in, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Transport Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001. The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules before the expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Central Government. DRAFT RULES 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (….. Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force from the date of publication of the notification. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 81, in the TABLE: - i. for serial number 10 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) 10. Conducting test of a vehicle for grant or renewal of certificate of fitness for motor vehicles (a) Motorcycle Four hundred rupees (b) Three wheeled or light motor vehicle or quadricycle Six hundred rupees 62(2) (c) Medium goods or passenger motor vehicle One thousand rupees (d) Heavy goods or passenger motor vehicle One thousand rupees ii. for serial number 10A and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: - (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) 10A. Conducting test of a vehicle for grant or renewal of certificate of fitness for motor vehicles older than 15 years but not exceeding 20 years (a) Motorcycle Five hundred rupees 62(2) (b) Three wheeled or light motor vehicle or quadricycle One thousand rupees (c) Medium goods or passenger motor vehicle One thousand three hundred rupees (d) Heavy goods or passenger motor vehicle One thousand five hundred rupees iii. after serial number 10A and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:- (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) 10B. Conducting test of a vehicle for grant or renewal of certificate of fitness for motor vehicles older than 20 years: (a) Motorcycle One thousand rupees (b) Three wheeled or light motor vehicle or quadricycle Two thousand rupees 62(2) (c) Medium goods or passenger motor vehicle Two thousand six hundred rupees (d) Heavy goods or passenger motor vehicle Three thousand rupees iv.
