Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Allahabad and Debts Recovery Tribunals at Allahabad, Ranchi, Jabalpur, Patna, Lucknow and Dehradun Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Kolkata and Debts Recovery Tribunals at Hyderabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri and Cuttack Recruitment Rules, 2018, in the Second Schedule, against serial number 2 in column (1), relating to the post of ‘Assistant Registrar’, in column (11), under the heading ‘Promotion’ — (i) in sub-clauses (i) and (ii), for the words “seven years” at both places where they occur, the words “nine years” shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-clauses (i) and (ii), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:— “Provided that for existing incumbents holding the feeder posts on regular basis immediately before the commencement of the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Kolkata and Debts Recovery Tribunals at Hyderabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri and Cuttack Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023, the existing eligibility criteria, i.e., seven years shall be applicable.”.
