सा.का.जन. 69(अ).—राष्टर पजत संजवधान के अनुच्छेि 309 के परंतुक द्वारा प्रित्त िजिर्ों का प्रर्ोग करत े हुए,
और भारतीर् वनस्ट्पजत सवेक्षण (श्रेणी III) भती जनर्म, 1964 को, िहां तक उसका संबंध वररष्ठ प्रूफ रीडर के पि से ह ैऔर
उन बातों के जसवार् अजधक्ांत करते हुए जिन् ह ें ऐस े अजधक्मण स े पूव ा दकर्ा गर्ा ह ै र्ा करन े का लोप दकर्ा गर्ा ह,ै
पर्ाावरण, वन और िलवार्ु पररवतान मंत्रालर् के अधीन भारतीर् वनस्ट्पजत सवेक्षण म ें वररष्टठ प्रूफ रीडर के पि पर भती
की प धजत को जवजनर्जमत करन े के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जनर्म बनाते ह,ैं अर्ाात ्-
1. संजक्षप्त नाम और प्रारंभ-(1) इन जनर्मों का संजक्षप् त नाम पर्ाावरण, वन और िलवार् ु पररवतान मंत्रालर्,
भारतीर् वनस्ट्पजत सवेक्षण, वररष्ठ प्रूफ़ रीडर, समूह ‘ग’ भती जनर्म, 2023 ह।ै
(2) र् ेरािपत्र म ेंउनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रवृत् त होंगे।
2. पि की सख्ं र् ा, वगीकरण तर्ा वते न मरै रक्स म ें स्ट्त र-पि की संख् र्ा, उसका वगीकरण तर्ा वेतन मैररक् स म ें
उसका स्ट् तर वही होगा िो इन जनर्मों से उपाबध अनुसूची के स्ट्त म् भ (2) से स्ट् तंभ (4) म ें जवजनर्िष्टा ट ह।ैं
3. भती की पधजत, आर्-ु सीमा, अहता ाएं आदि-उक्त पि पर भती की पधजत, आर्-ु सीमा, अहता ाएं और उसस े
संबंजधत अन् र् बातें वे होंगी िो उक्त अनुसूची के स्ट्त ंभ (5) स ेस्ट्त ंभ (13) म ेंजवजनर्िष्टा ट ह।ैं

उक्त पि पर जनर्ुजि का पात्र नह होगा:
परंतु र्दि केन्र ीर् सरकार का र्ह समाधान हो िाता ह ै दक ऐसा जववाह ऐसे व् र्जि और जववाह के अन् र् पक्षकार को लाग ू
स्ट् वीर् जवजध के अधीन अनुञेयेर् ह ै और ऐसा करन े के जलए अन् र् आधार ह,ैं तो वह दकसी व् र्जि को इस जनर्म के प्रवतना स े
छूट ि े सकेगी।
5. जिजर्ल करन े की िजि-िहां केन् रीर् सरकार की र्ह रार् ह ै दक ऐसा करना आव र्क र्ा समीचीन ह,ै तो वहां वह
उसके जलए िो कारण ह ैं उन् हें लेखबध करके इन जनर्मों के दकसी उपबंध को दकसी वगा र्ा प्रवगा के व् र्जिर्ों की
बाबत आिेि द्वारा जिजर्ल कर सकेगी।
6. व्र् ावृजत्त-इन जनर्मों की कोई बात, ऐसे आरक्षण, आर्-ु सीमा म ें छूट, और अन् र् ररर्ार्तों पर प्रभाव नह डालगे ी
जिनका केन् रीर् सरकार द्वारा इस संबंध म ें समर्-समर् पर िारी दकए गए आिेिों के अनसु ार अनुसूजचत िाजतर्ों,
अनुसूजचत िनिाजतर्ों, अन् र् जपछ़े े वगगों, भूतपूवा सैजनकों और अन् र् जविे प्रवग ा के व र्् जिर्ों के जलए उपबंध करना
अपेजक्षत ह।ै

प्रोन् नजत के जलए जवचार दकर्ा िा रहा वनस्ट्पजत सवेक्षण, कोलकाता
हो वहां उनके ज्र् ष्टे ठ व् र्जिर्ों के संबंध में - सिस्ट्र्;
जवचार दकर्ा िाएगा, परंत ु र्ह तब िब (3) कार्ाालर्ाध् र्क्ष, भारतीर्
दक उसके द्वारा की गई ऐसी अहका र्ा प्राणी सवेक्षण, कोलकाता
पात्रता सेवा, अपेजक्षत अहका र्ा पात्रता - सिस्ट्र्।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th January, 2024
G.S.R. 69(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, and in
supersession of the Botanical Survey of India (Class III) Recruitment Rules, 1964 in so far as they relate to the post of
Senior Proof Reader, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President
hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Senior Proof Reader
in the Botanical Survey of India under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, namely: -
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Environment, Forest and
Climate Change, Botanical Survey of India, Senior Proof Reader, Group 'C' Post Recruitment Rules, 2023.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of post, classification and level in the pay matrix .-The number of post, its classification and level
in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these
rules.
3. Method of recruitment, age-limit, other qualifications, etc.–The method of recruitment, age-limit,
qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said
Schedule.
4. Disqualification.-No person, -
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,
shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:
Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law
applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any
person from the operation of this rule.
5. Power to Relax.- Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do,
it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with
respect to any class or category of persons.
6. Saving.-Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required
to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, ex-servicemen and
other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time
