NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th November, 2025
S.O. 5302(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile
Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section
(ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government, in consultation with
Government of Gujarat, hereby makes amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Environment, Forest and Climate Change, vide number S.O. 2002(E), dated 2nd May, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as
the said notification), namely:-
In the said notification, -
(i) in paragraph 1, for serial number 1 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries
shall be substituted, namely: -
"1. Shri Akshay Kumar Saxena, Chairman
Indian Forest Service (Additional Charge);"

- 382019, Gujarat.
(ii) after paragraph 3, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely: -
“3A. The tenure of Shri Akshay Kumar Saxena as Chairman, Additional Charge shall be for a period of six months from
the date of commencement of this notification or till the appointment of a new Chairman whichever is earlier."
