NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th January, 2026
S.O. 89(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in
the erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub -section (ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central
Government hereby makes amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of
Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide number S.O. 3921 (E), dated the 26th August, 2025, namely:-
In the said notification,⸺
(1) In paragraph 1, for clause (iii) and the entries relating thereto, the following clause entries shall be
substituted, namely:
“(iii) Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change - Member Secretary.”.

the following clause and entries shall be substituted, namely:

the following clause and entries shall be substituted, namely:
