(1) इन जनर्मों का संजिप् त नाम िैव जवजवधता (संिोधन) जनर्म, 2025 ह।ै
(2) र् े 1 नवम्बर, 2025 स ेप्रवृत् त होंगे ।
2. िैव जवजवधता जनर्म, 2024, (जिसे इसम ें इसके पश् चात् उि जनर्म कहा गर्ा ह)ै के जनर्म 19 के स्ट्र्ान पर,
जनम्नजलजखत जनर्म रखा िाएगा, अर्ाात्, -
19. उगाए गए औषधीर् पौधों के जलए उत्पजत्त प्रमाणपत्र प्राप्त करन े की प्रदिर्ा.-
(1) िैव जवजवधता प्रबंधन सजमजत द्वारा उगाए गए औषधीर् पौधों के जववरण को अन्द्ताजवष्ट करने वाली पुजस्ट्तकाए ंवेब
पोटाल पर प्ररूप 11 म ेंअनुरजित की िाएंगी।
(2) अजधजनर्म की धारा 7 की उपधारा 2 के अधीन उत्पजत्त प्रमाण-पत्र प्राप्त करन ेके जलए कोई आवेिन, फीस के सार्
वेब पोटाल पर प्ररूप 11क म ें िवै जवजवधता प्रबंधन सजमजत को दकर्ा िाएगा।
(3) उप-जनर्म (1) के अधीन अनुरजित पुस्ट्तकों म ेंकी गई प्रजवजिर्ों के आधार पर, उत्पजत्त प्रमाण-पत्र वेब पोटाल पर
प्ररूप '12' म ेंतैर्ार दकर्ा िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 6th May, 2025
G.S.R. 295(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Biological Diversity Act,
2002 (18 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Biological
Diversity Rules, 2024, namely : –
(1) These rules may be called the Biological Diversity (Amendment) Rules, 2025.4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]
(2) They shall come into force from the 1st day of November, 2025.
2. For Rule 19 of the Biological Diversity Rules, 2024, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), the following
rule shall be substituted, namely, –
19. Procedure for obtaining a certificate of origin for cultivated medicinal plants. –
(1) Books containing the details of cultivated medicinal plants shall be maintained by the Biodiversity
Management Committee in Form 11 in the web portal.
(2) An application for obtaining certificate of origin under sub-section 2 of section 7 of the Act shall be made to
the Biodiversity Management Committee along with the fee in Form 11A on web portal.
(3) On the basis of the entries made in the books maintained under sub-rule (1), the certificate of origin shall be
generated in the web portal in the Form ‘12’.
3. In the First Schedule of the said rules, for serial number 11 and 12 and the entries relating thereto, the
following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely: –
