New Delhi, the 15th July, 2025
S.O. 3225(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control and
Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), the Central Government, after consulting the Export Inspection Council,
hereby makes the following amendments further to amend the Order of the Government of India in the
Ministry of Commerce and Industry, vide number S.O. 4368 (E), dated the 15th September, 2021, namely: -
In the said Order, after clause (h), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-
“(i) use of any antimicrobial medicinal product for the purpose of promoting growth or to increase yield
shall be prohibited in egg laying birds ;
(j) the use of any of the following antimicrobials or group of antimicrobials and antimicrobial medicinal
product shall be prohibited for treatment in Poultry farm from where eggs are procured, or at any stage of
production and processing of Egg Products in establishment, namely :-
(1) Antibiotics:-
(a) Carboxypenicillins
(b) Ureidopenicillins
(c) Ceftobiprole
(d) Ceftaroline
