New Delhi, the 15th July, 2025
S.O. 3227(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control and
Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963), the Central Government, after consulting the Export Inspection Council,
hereby makes the following amendments further to amend the Order of the Government of India in the
Ministry of Commerce and Industry, vide number S.O. 276 (E), dated the 04th March, 2002, namely: -
In the said Order, in APPENDIX after clause (1.8) and entries thereto, the following clauses shall be inserted,
namely:
“(2.0) use of any antimicrobial medicinal product for the purpose of promoting growth or to increase yield
shall be prohibited in beekeeping farms;
(2.1) the use of any of the following antimicrobials or group of antimicrobials and antimicrobial medicinal
product shall be prohibited for treatment of honey bees from where honey is procured, or at any stage of
production and processing of honey in establishment, namely :-
(1) Antibiotics:-
(a) Carboxypenicillins
(b) Ureidopenicillins
(c) Ceftobiprole
(d) Ceftaroline
(e) Combinations of cephalosporins with beta-lactamase inhibitors
